Creating a tournament takes about ten minutes. You choose a game, EVENTA pre-fills the sensible settings for it, and you adjust anything you like. The result is saved as a draft that only organizers can see, so you can set everything up before announcing it.

Before you start
| You need | Why |
|---|---|
| A verified phone number | EVENTA asks you to add and verify one before you can create anything. This helps keep organizers authentic. |
| A club role of owner, admin or moderator — or no club at all | Club staff can create tournaments for the club. If you have no club, you can host on your own. |
| For cash prizes: your club approved by EVENTA | Cash prize pools are switched on per club. See Prize pools. |
Start the creation flow
Step 1: Choose Tournament
Press the + button, or open Create, and choose Tournament. Club organizers can also use Club admin → Tournaments → New tournament.
What are you launching? Choose Tournament to run a bracket with entry fees, seeding and live results.
Step 2: Choose who is hosting
Every tournament has a host — the club that collects entry fees, settles disputes and gets paid out.
Host it under a club you run, or on your own.
Step 3: Pick a game
The game tile is the most important decision. A template pre-fills the roster size, bracket format, check-in, reporting rules and — for paid entries — the safeguards that keep the competition fair.
Pick a game. Single-mode games go straight to the form; others ask for a format.
| Game | Templates |
|---|---|
| Valorant | 5v5 Standard (double elimination, best-of-3) |
| League of Legends | 5v5 Summoner's Rift, 5v5 ARAM, 1v1 Mid |
| Counter-Strike 2 | 5v5 Competitive |
| Dota 2 | 5v5 Captain's Mode, 5v5 All Pick, 1v1 Solo Mid |
| Fortnite | Solo, Duos, Trios, Squads (points series) |
| PUBG Mobile | Squads TPP (points series) |
| Free Fire | Squads (points series) |
| EA Sports FC | 1v1 (single elimination) |
| FC Mobile | Head to Head 1v1 |
| Mobile Legends: Bang Bang | 5v5 Draft Pick |
| Something else | Fully custom — any game, any shape |
Fill in the form
The form is one long page with a section per topic. The sections below follow the page from top to bottom.
Step 1: Basics
Basics: the title, game and a one-line prize.
Cover image. A wide image, up to 10 MB, appears on the club page and when the tournament is shared. Pick one that is readable at card size.
The cover dropzone: drag an image here or click to choose.
Description and Rules. Both are rich text. The description sells the event; the rules are what competitors read before entering and what organizers quote in a dispute. Say how no-shows, map picks and screenshots work.
The description editor supports headings, lists, links and colour.
Streams, casters and Discord. You can add them now or later. They are covered in Streams, casters and Discord.
Streams, casters and the Discord channel and invite.
Step 2: Format
Choose Single elimination, Double elimination or Groups + knockout, then the series length (Best of 1, 3, 5 or 7). Round lengths let any round override the default. See Formats explained.
Format: bracket type, series length and per-round overrides.
For double elimination, Grand finals reset is on by default. The third-place match is offered only for single elimination.
Step 3: Entry type
Choose Solo or Team. For teams, set the minimum and maximum roster, and whether substitutes are allowed. You can also allow captains to invite people from outside the club.
Entry type and roster limits. Templates lock what the game decides.
Step 4: Registration
Registration: capacity, entry fee, first match, running order, dates and entry questions.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Capacity | How many entrants may enter. Between 2 and 256. Anyone past capacity joins the waitlist. |
| Entry fee | Zero for a free tournament. This is what you receive per entrant, in full; EVENTA adds a small convenience charge for the entrant on top. Your club's currency applies. |
| Cash prize pool | Appears once your club is approved. See Prize pools. |
| First match | When play starts. Appears on the schedule. |
| Host club | The club running the desk. Partner clubs can host a tournament for you from Club partnerships. |
| Running order | Optional kick-off time for each round. Whatever you fill in appears as a timed schedule; blank rounds are simply not listed. |
| Registration opens / closes | Optional. When set, EVENTA opens and closes registration for you. |
| Entry questions | Up to 20 extra questions for entrants: short text, long text, single choice, multiple choice or file upload, each optional or required. |
Step 5: Check-in
Check-in: turn it on, choose when it opens and how long entrants have.
With Require check-in on, only entrants who confirm they are present enter the bracket. Set Check-in opens and the Window (minutes). Check-in cuts no-shows out of the draw instead of handing opponents a walkover in round one. Paid cups built from a game template must use it.
Step 6: Seeding
Seeding: registration order, random draw or manual.
Choose how the draw is made. You can still rearrange everything by hand in the seeding panel right up until the bracket is generated.
Step 7: Results
Results: who reports a score, how long the confirmation window is, and whether proof is required.
These two settings decide whether the tournament ever finishes.
- Who reports a result. Competitors report is recommended: the winner enters the score, the loser confirms, and the bracket moves without you. Organizers only means every match waits for a human — fine for eight entrants, brutal at sixty-four.
- Confirmation window. If the opponent says nothing for this long, the reported score is accepted. Choose 30 minutes, 3 hours, 12 hours or 24 hours, or any value from 15 minutes up to seven days.
- Require a screenshot with every report. Slows reporting down, but settles arguments in the queue instead of in your inbox.
Step 8: Announcements
Announcements: which moments post to the club wall and notify members.
Pick which milestones post to the club wall: Registration opens, Bracket drawn, Every round completes (off by default — at 64 entrants that is a lot of posts) and Champion crowned. Entrants are always notified of their own bracket either way.
Step 9: Create the draft
Press Create draft. You land in the tournament's console.
The draft console. Open registration when you are ready; nobody but organizers can see it yet.
The club's tournament list, where drafts are marked. Only organizers see drafts.
Next: Run your tournament.
