Once the bracket is live, the console becomes the tournament desk. When competitors report their own scores you will mostly watch it; when something goes wrong, it is where you fix it. This guide covers every tool on the desk.
The desk: the lifecycle bar offers Publish standings and Cancel. Tabs show Participants, Bracket, Disputes and Settings.
The Bracket tab
The Bracket tab lists every match, grouped by round, in the order they are played. Winners rounds come first, then the losers rounds and the grand final for double elimination.
Each row is one match. The state on the right says what is happening, and playable matches have a score box.
Enter a score yourself
Enter the series score for each side — for a best-of-three, 2 and 1 — and press Save result. Knockout matches cannot end level. Saving is final: the teams do not confirm it.
Matches that are not ready
Rows marked Not ready yet are waiting for an earlier match to decide who plays. They fill in automatically.
The Participants tab on matchday
The same Participants tab you used before Start stays on the desk.
- Check in — check an entrant in for a stray latecomer while check-in is open.
- DQ — disqualify an entrant. A written reason is required and is kept with the entry.
- View — see an entry's roster and answers.
Disqualify and walkovers
Disqualifying someone mid-tournament gives their opponent in an unplayed match a walkover. It advances automatically down the bracket. Disqualification does not refund money and is a sanction, so use it for rule violations rather than for teams that are simply absent.
The Disputes tab
When a competitor presses This is not what happened, the match freezes and a dispute appears here.
The dispute queue: unassigned disputes first, oldest first. Claim one so teammates know it is covered.
Use the Open / Resolved switch to move between live disputes and the audit trail of closed ones. Each row shows who disputed, the match and score reported, the round, its age and the reason written by the challenger.
Step 1: Claim the dispute
A claimed dispute shows an owner and an In progress status.
Read the reason, check the evidence the reporter attached, and ask for more in the club chat if you need it.
Step 2: Resolve it
Press Resolve. A ruling is required, and it is recorded on the match permanently.
The Resolve dialog: pick one outcome, and provide a winner and score if you are correcting the result.
| Outcome | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Score corrected | The reported result was wrong. You must set the correct winner and score. |
| Original result upheld | The report was right. |
| Replay ordered | The match must be played again. |
| Forfeit awarded | One side loses by forfeit. |
| Disqualification | A side broke the rules badly enough to be removed. |
| Withdrawn by reporter | The reporting side took it back. |
| No evidence provided | There was not enough to decide on. |
| Other | Something else, with a written reason. |
Press Close dispute. The bracket moves on from that match.

Step 3: Or override
When a result has already advanced a team and you need to change who won, use Override. It is deliberately a two-step action.
Override: pick the winner, the score and a reason, then preview the impact.
- Pick the winner, enter the score for each side and write why. The reason is stored on the match forever, because the losing side will ask.
- Press Preview impact. EVENTA lists every later result that would be discarded.
- If the cascade is large — more than eight matches — you must acknowledge it before applying.
Contested verified results
For games with a results provider, EVENTA reads the finished match and records it as verified. An entrant can contest it. Contested matches stay in play, and show in your queue so you can dismiss the contest or override the result.
Groups
For groups + knockout the desk has a Groups tab instead of a bracket tab.
Group tables with qualified teams highlighted, and every fixture with its result below.
Enter group scores per fixture. A draw is allowed, and saving is final. Tables update at once. If a tie covers a qualifying place that the rules cannot break, EVENTA asks you to rank those teams yourself. The knockout is drawn the moment every group match has a result. See Formats explained.
Points series
A points series has a Scoring tab for entering each game's lobby results. It has its own guide: Battle royale and points series.
Publish standings
When every match is decided, press Publish standings in the lifecycle bar. It locks the final standings, adds to the club's season standings (for public clubs) and releases any prizes. Every match must be resolved first — if one is not, the bar tells you which.
Good habits
- Publish rules early. Disputes are settled quickest when the rule is already written down.
- Keep one person on the queue. Claiming stops two moderators ruling differently.
- Prefer competitors-report mode unless the field is tiny.
- Write the reason. The ruling is the audit trail.
- Never re-score a played match through the score box. Override shows the cascade first.
